Mediation Engineer

We are looking for a Mediation Engineer to support and evolve our data mediation platform within the telecommunications environment. The platform is responsible for collecting, transforming, and distributing operational data between network systems and Business Support Systems (BSS) such as billing, CRM, and analytics platforms.

The role combines platform operations and data integration development, ensuring reliable processing of high-volume event data generated by telecom networks. While experience in telecom mediation is an advantage, we are primarily looking for engineers with strong data processing, scripting, and system integration skills who are interested in learning the telecom domain.

 

Key Responsibilities

The engineer will support the daily operation of the mediation platform, ensuring that data flows between network systems and business applications run reliably and efficiently. This includes monitoring the platform, investigating issues, and maintaining existing mediation workflows.

The role also involves developing and improving data processing flows that collect, enrich, transform, and distribute operational data to downstream systems such as billing, analytics, and reporting platforms. The engineer will work closely with BSS, IT, and Network teams to support new integrations, service launches, and improvements to existing processes.

 

Required Skills (Must Have)

  • Experience working with Linux or Unix environments.
  • Good programming or scripting skills (Python, Shell, or similar).
  • Understanding of data processing and system integration, including file-based data exchange or APIs.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, or CSV.
  • Good knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ETL or data processing pipelines.
  • Exposure to telecommunications environments or telecom data such as CDRs.
  • Familiarity with network protocols used in telecom systems.
  • Experience working with monitoring or automation tools in production systems.
  • Understanding of how telecom data flows into billing or analytics platforms.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Candidates typically have 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, system integration, or data engineering, although motivated engineers with strong technical foundations are also encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

The Mediation Engineer works closely with Billing & Charging, IT Infrastructure, and Network teams, ensuring reliable delivery of network-generated data to systems responsible for charging, billing, and operational reporting.
