IPKO, one of Kosovo’s leading and fastest-growing companies, is looking for a dedicated IP Core Network Engineer.
The role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of the IP/MPLS core and data center network infrastructure, ensuring the reliable delivery of broadband, voice, and video services. It supports high-availability network environments, contributes to capacity planning and network evolution, and provides advanced technical support in close collaboration with the IP Core Networks team.
What will you do?
Maintain and operate the IP/MPLS network infrastructure delivering broadband internet, video, and voice services.
Operate and support data center network infrastructures, including Leaf–Spine architectures, high-availability designs, and inter-data-center connectivity.
Maintain records of engineering solutions, including detailed engineering requirements, high-level and low-level design documents, and integration documents.
Assist the IP Core Networks Manager in network capacity planning, traffic growth analysis, and upgrade planning across core and data center networks.
Provide second- and third-level support for operational outages within IP/MPLS and data center networks.
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments on operational and project activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a network engineering environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering; CCNP (Routing & Switching or Data Center) certification is preferred.
Deep knowledge of IP networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, EVPN, MPLS, and Switching.
Solid understanding of data center networking concepts, including:
Leaf–Spine fabric design
VLAN/VXLAN and EVPN fundamentals
Redundancy and high-availability mechanisms
East–West and North–South traffic patterns
Hands-on experience provisioning and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches, including the Nexus 9k, NCS, ASR 9000 (ASR9k)
Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, or similar tools).
Fluency in English and Albanian, both written and spoken
